Is Golf School Instruction For Your?

Have you ever considered or gone to a golf school for instruction of your golf swing? You see them advertised on the television, in the golf magazines and locally in your golf shops. They are usually group instruction outing that can be a half day, a full day, or the entire weekend.

The instructors at this type of golf school work within groups, never one-on-one. That for some people is a big negative, but for other golfers who feel they don't need that intimate instruction, they don't mind it.

There are several things to consider when thinking of attending a golf instruction school.

Price

These golf schools are not cheap! They can range from a hundred dollars up to several thousand dollars. It all depends on the name behind the school, the length of the school and the teacher/student (golfer) ratio. I have heard positive feedback from golfers who took this approach, and I have heard horror stories from golfers who got no guidance, and left more frustrated than before they got there.

Location

You may be lucky to have a credible golf school in your locale, but most of the time this is not the case. If so, then you need to tack on travel, hotel and food on top of the price for the school. Unless you live in Florida, Arizona or California, you may be limited in your locale to credible golf instruction schools.

Now you have to way the pros and cons of whether it is worth your time and expense to attend one. You must first talk to some golfers who have attended this particular golf school. Get some honest feedback to give you a better feel for making a decision. If you can talk to 3 or 4 golfers, preferrably ones you know, you'll have a good idea of what to expect.

Taking this into consideration will help you make a more educated decision on what golf instruction school you want to attend.
