Golf Swing Instruction - Ask a Pro

Sometimes, no matter how much you practice, perfecting your swing or even correcting small problems in your swing seems impossible. In this case, you might require golf swing instruction from a pro…even if you have been playing for some time. Golf swing instruction will probably help you even more than you realize.

Golf pros are different from ordinary golfers. They have perfected their own game, and then they learned to study other people's games to help them perfect their games. A golf pro knows that all golfers are different, and each one will have different needs to correct small problems. Pros are trained to help you correct those problems - in ways designed just for you.

Finding golf pros is easy - finding golf pros that are good is a little harder. Finding a golf pro that suits your particular needs can seem absolutely overwhelming… but it doesn't have to be. There are certain steps to take to find a good golf pro. Don't just settle for the guy that works in your local pro shop.

First, ask your friends for recommendations. Find out where the pros are located, and if possible, watch them with their other students from a distance. How do they interact? Are they patient? Do they seem to know what they are doing, and what they are talking about? Visit your local pro shop, and ask about the pros that are available in the area. Don't worry about insulting the pro running the shop - he probably no longer offers instruction anyway.

Most clubs have golf pros on staff. Follow the same protocol, and watch them from a distance, after the practice session that you watch, try to catch up with the golf student, and ask questions about the golf pros instructional skills, and ask specifically if they would recommend him. Ask them if there has been any improvement in their game since they started the lessons.

Ask for references - and check them. If you haven't had the opportunity to watch the pro in action on the course, ask to join a training session for observation purposes. Don't be alarmed if the pro says no to this - it may simply be to protect the privacy of his or her clients. You might even offer to pay half of the hourly rate for the opportunity to watch them in action with another student.

Once you've started instruction with a golf pro, give it a few sessions to determine whether or not this is the right golf pro for you. Sometimes, people simply don't get along well. It may be that this particular golf pro cannot convey the concept to you in a way that you understand. If it isn't working out, don't be afraid to stop working with that particular pro, and start your search for another one. The current pro may be able to make a recommendation if you just explain the situation to them in a nice way.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that you can perfect your golf swing in just one or two sessions with a golf pro - or even three or four, and maybe not even in ten sessions! Everyone learns at their own pace, and golf techniques take time to learn, and even more time to perfect. Also, really listen to what your golf pro is telling you. If you aren't willing to listen, you are wasting your time, your money, and the pros time as well. Stay completely focused during your training sessions, and make sure that you put in the additional practice time that is recommended by your pro.

If you feel that you have been given quality golf swing instruction by your pro, don't be afraid to tip them, or offer them a bonus. This is a common practice, and many pros depend on tips a great deal. Treat your pro with respect - they are not underlings. Failure to give proper respect to your pro may result in him or her walking off the job! Golf pros have a true love for the game - and if you demonstrate that same feeling for the game, you may find that you receive superior instruction!

Golf Swing Tip Instructions - How To Draw The Ball

If you want to learn the secret to drawing the ball, then these golf swing tip instructions will give you some much needed help.

If you're like most golfers, slicing the ball has never been a part of your golf game that you've needed to practice on, it's just come naturally. But, drawing the ball is a different story. You're not alone though, as upwards of 90% of all golfers have problems with slicing the ball.

So, how do you go about changing that and start hitting a draw? Here are some quick tips.

1. We're going to assume that you are right-handed. If not you just need to reverse these instructions. You begin by taking a 5-iron and setting up to the ball as you normally do.

2. Now, you will need to move your feet to the right of your intended target area. To get the correct angle is going to take some practice, but begin with 10 degrees right of your target. If that's not enough, then you can simply make more adjustments.

3. Next, you will maintain the face of your 5-iron pointing at your intended target.

4. Maintain your normal golf grip and swing at the ball. Keep your regular follow through.

If you have several balls in a row that hook too much, or not enough, make some additional adjustments with your stance.

As with any golf swing tip instructions, the key to success is practice. With that in mind, keep these points in mind:

-Practice drawing the golf ball with every club in your bag.

-Don't change your regular golf swing. Make the adjustments with your stance or grip, but you don't want to change your golf swing.

-Start out drawing the ball slightly to allow your body and your mind to get a feel for it. You can always practice more serious draws in due time.

-Consider taking a golf lesson if you can. You can find more information on golf tips and lessons at the end of this article.

Learning to hit a simple draw is not difficult if you put these golf swing tip instructions to work for you. In fact, I believe you can be hitting it consistently in a short amount of time. As you do, you'll start to notice increased distance and no more slices.

Golf Instruction Tip For Exercises In Your Office

If you are the typical enthusiastic golfer who thinks about the game all the time, even when you are in the office, then this golf instruction tip for exercises in your office will be of great help.

But first it is important to appreciate the value of stretching exercises, which is what the golf instruction tip in this article is all about.

The golf swing is resisted by the human body because it is a very unnatural movement, as far as the human body is concerned.

Golf-specific stretching exercises help a great deal in conditioning your body to adapt to the golf swing as much as possible. The idea is to make the body comfortable during the golf swing so that you greatly reduce on its awkwardness. In simple terms the more comfortable your body is during a golf swing, the better the quality of your golf swing will be.

This golf instruction tip is also for all those terribly busy business executives who have great problems creating the time to play their golf, let alone having some extra time to spare for exercises at a gym.

Just 15 seconds at a time is adequate to execute this golf instruction tip that is bound to greatly improve your game.

Actually there are numerous types of stretches you can do in the office.

For example the seated twist has had an amazing record in reducing and at times even eliminating back pain. It has also quickly improved many golferss back swing and follow through range of motions. The result has mostly been a much higher club head speed and greater distance.

To do this golf instruction tip on exercising, you need to start off seated upright in your office chair, with chest high and back straight. You can then reach behind you with one arm, which will rotate your upper body. While staying erect, twist as far back as you can go and then hold for about 10 seconds.

You can then twist the other way and repeat. Go both sides 2-3 times, remembering to hold for 10 seconds, each time. This golf instruction tip will reap many rewards on the course.

PurePoint Golf Instruction ? Driver Ball Position ? Driver Golf Swing & a Better Golf Swing in Tough

I often see a number of amateurs prepare for their driver golf swing by walking up, after they have teed the ball up, they just take a step back and they address it. They grip the golf club and they address it, and they sort of just plot their feet down wherever they land, but let me tell you the proper way.

This way you'll be able to get the ball in the correct position more often than not. After you have the golf ball and you've gripped it and you have addressed it, then you'll just look down, take a peek down, and if this golf ball is running towards the left heel, then this is correct.

If you look down and you see the golf ball is a little too far forward off your left, that's too far forward and you'll probably see that the shoulders are aimed too far to the left.

On the other hand, if you look back down and you think the ball is too far back in your stance when you put this shaft along you, you'll be aiming way off to the right.

So, after you've addressed the golf ball, all you have to do to get ready for your driver golf swing is bring the shaft up and lay it along your shoulder line, and it should be going in the direction you want to go with it.

If you get it too far back in your stance at address, you'll wind up aiming your shoulders too far off to the right.

And if you get it off the left heel, this should be proper for most people.

Now, have you ever gone to play a round of golf and the first hole the wind is straight into you, the next two holes it's blowing out of the right, the next two holes it's from the left, then four holes in a row straight back into the wind, and then it gets worse?

The next three holes it's blowing harder from the left. Then you get the shortest hole in the golf course downwind. And then, of course, you know the rest of the story, the next three holes, the longest holes in the golf course, dead into the teeth of it.

Well, those are tough driving days and you have to be prepared to react to it, because the wind isn't going to stop just for you.

And when you're playing well, I know you're going to laugh, but it seems like every hole's downwind. And when you're playing difficult, it seems like every one of them is into a gale.

Remember this about tough driving days, this driver is not always the answer. How many times have you driven the golf ball 50 yards left of the fairway and only wished that you would have hit 6 iron off of the tee to get a better golf swing?

I'm not advocating that into the wind. However, the flatter the face on the golf club, the more the golf ball's going to curve and the better your golf swing will be. And the windier it is, it exaggerates the curve if it's going in the direction of the wind. So, this isn't always the answer.

I have a 1 iron that I love, and I have driven with it many times on windy days, even into the wind, because it was important to find the golf ball in the fairway and not out of bounds.

So, don't forget this is not the answer on rugged days. This is the answer when you're driving the ball well.

When you're not, it might be a 3 wood. Don't give into the driver.

Thanks and have a great day.

Golf Instruction, What Do Ya Mean, Hit From The Inside, Watch This

Have you ever heard that you should always hit the ball from the inside to the outside?

Sure you have.

Most golf instruction will make this a center piece of your growth period in the golf swing. It is one of the mainstay ideas related to golf lessons. Hit from the inside. It has to do with clubhead path or swing path as some call it.

How about the guy who figures this out by himself? Or, perhaps he reads it somewhere. That you must have an inside swing path in order to hit the ball straight.

So what does he do? He runs to the range and he decides that it doesn't seem that hard. He'll just drag the club inside on the take away and he'll be all set to hit it from the inside.

This makes perfect sense to him. So it isn't long before he is wrapping the club around his ankles in an attempt to get the damn thing inside more and more and more. Only to find that he is still hitting a big banana because, try as he might, he is still hitting from the outside to the inside.

You have seen this guy. He is the one that has the funny looking backswing. You know something is wrong with it but you just can't quite figure it out. He bends in ways that don't seem possible. His hands practically disappear behind him as he attempts to get the club deeper and deeper to the inside.

You feel sorry for him, but of course you have no idea who he is or what he is trying to do.

Whatever it is, you are thinking, it ain't working.

The club is so far to the inside that it gets stuck behind him. The only way he can get it back to the ball is to throw it out over the target line and hit …. you guessed it, "hit from the top" or do exactly what he trying not to do and that is use an outside in swing path.

The result? A repeating weak slice that has no hope whatsoever of finding the fairway and so now he is suffering from another problem as well.

He is standing too close to the ball AFTER HE HITS IT! ( Grinning)

There are several golf swing lessons to be learned from watching this guy.

The first is that you almost never can feel what you are doing in the golf swing.

And you can almost never figure it out by yourself. There are millions of words written about the golf swing from some very experienced folks. Trying to re-figure it out by yourself is a very bad idea.

So what happens to our unknown friend?

He finds that after hundreds of swings, his slice is still there and he was unable to hit from the inside. What he did wrong was miss the very idea of an inside swing path.

It is not the backswing that sets this into motion it is the first move on the downswing that causes an inside path of the clubhead.

Have a look at Jim Furyk on the PGA tour. His backswing is a mess. His downswing is a thing of beauty.

Our range friend has a backswing that only his mommy could love, and as he gears up for the massive downswing it only gets worse. He either never knew or never discovered that an inside move is on the downswing and not on the backswing.

It is true that a great backswing certainly sets up a great downswing, but if you are athletic enough you can re-route (not recommended) the downswing as long as you make that one magic move on the downswing first.

And what is that?

It's the bumping of the hips laterally and the dropping of the right elbow into the right hip. While maintaining the set up position of the head.

Your hips will turn and your elbow will drop to it's proper position if you allow them to do it. You have no choice if you bump your hips far enough laterally.

And then as if by magic, you will have hit from the inside. Unlike our friend who is totally mired in confusion and correction in his attempt to do what you now can do, but he will never do.

So remember that dragging the club to the inside only promises that you will hit more from the outside and make you look like a great blue heron on a Florida Golf Course.

People love to watch them but they don't want to get too close to them.

There are four magic moves to the golf swing. If you would like to have the first revealed for interest sake only go here: http://www.ebooksbestbuy.com/golf
